Why I created this guide?

Since 2017, I’ve explored Japan in a different way, hitchhiking across the country, living in a van, and discovering places far from the typical tourist routes.
Over the years, I’ve collected these 118 hidden jewels with the help of local people and my own obsession with finding the "real" Japan. Most of these historical districts are nearly impossible to find in English guides.
